Fresh & Frozen Fish Auction
BIFEX is an operating corporation handling imported seafood at the International Fisheries Wholesale Market, managing approximately 98% of domestic imported fish species. It possesses three cold storage buildings as low-temperature storage facilities, capable of storing over 24,000 boxes at once.
Immediate entry and storage within bonded facilities are possible after unloading at the pier. The main species handled include chilled Alaska Pollock, chilled Yellow Corvina, various types of snappers, Red Sea Bream, and other kinds of fresh fish.
For frozen imported seafood, a global auction through intermediaries takes place, involving various countries such as Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and the United States.
Russian-origin Pacific Cod is also distributed through auctions at our wholesale market.
